No, I am not referring to the movie "The Ring". I didn't watch any tape that would end with me getting a phone call saying I will die in 7 days.
Though, I may die from exhaustion :P
I have been ranting and raving about my work for quite a while and now its time to show you all the results...some of the results at least.
First up, the character turntable.
This entire thing is done for my advanced maya class. We had to create a character and texture it.
The entire process from modeling to detailing to texturing took around 8 weeks(3-4days a week working on it). Technically it would have finished much sooner if I hadn't watched episodes of Boston Legal side by side. Can't help it, I just got season 3.
Anyway,
Modeling done in Maya, and then exported to Zbrush for detailing and texturing.
Final submission was this turn table of the character(which I still have to submit actually)
Next semester we are going to be introduced to rigging. Seems like fun. Have been given a choice of whether we want to do advanced modeling, character animation or short film.
A short film would be lovely, but I do have other subjects too. Next semester I have to make a game in flash and yet another 15 minute movie with the theme still undisclosed. Making a short film in maya at that point will make me suicidal.
Character animation seems like a nicer choice, but I am mostly thinking of sticking to advanced modeling. The thing is, I am doing multimedia design, majoring in it. Doing animation is fun on the side, but realistically speaking, if I want to make really cool 3d posters and advertisements, maya modeling is more important...sooo I guess I will be going for advanced modeling next sem.

Next up... and this is my favorite.
Oh yea. First attempt at Kinetic Typography. Messed up the camera rhythm a little midway, but overall I still find it a reasonably good attempt considering a novice.
The song I chose was Linkin Park's "Bleed it out". Done in After Effects. This was supposedly the intro for my CD interface. But its way too long so I am just gonna use it in the Videos section.
Thats it for now.
I have 7 days left to complete two interfaces, do a walk cycle in maya, and complete the production for my documentary. After that its 2 weeks of relaxation and then it all gets repeated again.
Such is life.

Edit: Its 4am right now. Why am I awake at this ungodly hour? Well apparently I was surfing youtube and I came across a wrestling video. One link led to another and now I am once again hooked on WWE. Ah the thrill of seeing Triple H smack some newbie with the chair, the excitement when Shawn Michaels superkicks the jaw of another newbie, the welcomed goosebumps of that ominous bell followed by darkness signaling the arrival of the Undertaker.

This was the video that I saw first...from here on I just kept clicking on the related videos.
That has to be one of Undertaker's most fantastic entries, excluding Wrestlemania ones of course.

A WWE fan!! :) I am into footwear design and we have lisence for WWE, garments and footwear.. Wierdly, you seem to be the first person who owns it that he likes WWE, the rest prefer watching it with their male counterparts and think its too downmarket to accept before females.. ;)
wow, you actually design the garments for WWE? Thats cool.
And, why would any guy think its a bad thing to admit to girls? Wrestling is the male equivalent to those girly soap operas.
There is the same drama, same action, same kind of odd plot lines.
Besides, I once hooked my mom to WWE soo I know for a fact that if girls watch 3-4 episodes, they are pretty much caught in the hype too.

I caught a couple of episodes currently...I fell asleep halfway all the time. Its so dull now
